That's 12 plus the ACC tournament, although it's possible I've been counting the conference tourney matchups toward that total.
The number has fluctuated over the years. But overall, ND seems to play fewer regular season games than most other schools.
I get trying to expand the game but that just smells of having a poor crowd and it isn't even being hosted by a member school? The closest participating school would be Duke or UNC
BTW Brown plays #5 this year.
No host school either, and after Maryland left, Syracuse was probably the closest member to the site. I suppose it was better for the fifth place team, however, in at least they had Penn available for an OOC matchup in lieu of a tournament game.
match-up.
The first year it was there (2014) was the Twerps turn to host the tournament, just before they left on July 1. The ACC Front Office didn't want to "reward" their leaving for the B1G by letting them host. I'm very surprised that they went to Kennesaw rather than starting up the rotation again by letting Cuse and ND host.
Looks like we'll be trying to fit 13 games into about 8 weeks or so, unless the season starts earlier than February 20.
many fans, various alumni, former teammates and friends continue to inquire about the 2016 ND Lacrosse schedule
Go Irish!
Nor have Syracuse or Duke. I pulled almost all of the games from opponents' websites. The Maryland match in Orange County was mentioned here and in media accounts, but Maryland's schedule isn't up yet, either.
I think last year's ND schedule wasn't posted until December 22 or thereabouts.
Based on last year's schedule it looks like the Duke game will be played at Arlotta
and the Syracuse game will be played in the Carrier Dome
