And the Big10 won the women's championship-Maryland beat BC *

Maryland beat OSU 9-6 to take the men's title, too

Their first men's title since 1975. That stat surprised me.

They had been the early 90s Bills on steroids

I believe they were runners-up 11 times, or something.

Anytime BC is better than us at anything

And absent exceptional circumstances (e.g. a coach like Jerry York) there needs to be some soul-searching among ND athletics administrators and coaches.

Outside of football, MD probably has one of the best

Sports programs compared to other B1G programs. UMd's men's basketball is a top 2-3 in the B1G, women's ball is way better. UMd had better soccer, lacrosse, baseball than most of the rest of the B1G.

They're an ACC school in the Big 10

They are good at the ACC sports.

Further insult: two teams we beat in the course of the year *

Two improved teams

Two teams that improved more over the course of the year than we did. Granted, we have been impacted by injuries. However, I doubt that we would beat either of these teams today.

That's become typical- we always play well during the year

And always play poorly in the tournament.

I still have a hard time remembering MD is in the Big 10. *

I hope Godzilla appears and steps on both teams *
