Apparently there’s a rare condition that causes some people to ferment carbohydrates into ethanol in their own bodies such that their blood alcohol level will be three times the legal limit despite not having touched a drop?

yeast and bacteria in the colon are somehow acquired which ferment any unused sugars to ethanol.

I would think that even in this case, it would only really affect people who had malabsorbtion and sugars made it to the colon. But, I'm just a plumber.
