he just threw a 2 hit nine inning complete 4-1 game against kent state in his 3rd consecutive college world series. Michael Roth has been awesome. He has never lost in post season. He has the most innings ever pitched at 53.2 beating the previous record of 46 and is 4-0 to tie for most wins ever at the cws. He faced just 29 batters and went to 9-1 on the season. He is 4-0 in post season this year and 9-0 for his career over the last 3 years. He was equally dominate at our high school winning two state championships. south carolina is 23-1 in post season over the last 3 seasons.

won 24 of last 25 postseason games in regionals/superregionals/cws - roth will get one last start in his remarkable career.

run on 3 hits to extend his remarkable cws record - no decision as tied 1-1 at end of 7. He did this on 3 days rest after going 9 on Friday giving up only one run in a 4-1 victory.

Perfect 10-0 record in the NCAAs, and 8 of those wins were by 3 runs or more. Their average margin of victory was 6 runs.

And they weren't even one of the top 8 national seeds, or the Pac-12 outright champion. (They tied UCLA, but UCLA won 2 out of 3 head-to-head, in Tucson no less, and UCLA got the No. 3 national seed.)
