By comparison, Dave Schrage was 119-104-1 (.533).

The only ND baseball coaches with career records worse than Aoki's were Tom Kelly (1976-1980, 88-102-1 (.463)) and Larry Gallo (1981-1987, 157-167-3 (.485)). That was back when ND played at Jake Kline Field, which was barely up to Little League standards.

Apparently the program just isn't ready to compete in the ACC, because god forbid Jack would have to admit he made a bad hire.

I think the only hope is---sadly---what Cbo mentioned just below. A complete cluster**** of a season. Well, we already seem to be witnessing that, but perhaps it has to continue for the PTB to notice, and be shamed into action.

As far as I can tell, ND's worst season was 1987 (15-29)

That prompted the change from Gallo to Pat Murphy. ND's school record for losses was 2010 (22-32), which got Schrage fired and Aoki hired.

I suspect we will have a lower WP than 1987 and more losses than 2010. In fact, a 40-loss season is a distinct possibility.
