CPA / Tax / Business Advisor

Local CPA firm – South Bend, Indiana

We are seeking a CPA with at least 5 years of public accounting experience to join our professional staff. The responsibilities include being able to manage client relationships and being technically capable of performing tax planning, tax research, tax return preparation and review for both individuals and businesses, and supervision and review of compiled and reviewed financial statements. This position will also entail supervision and mentoring of staff members with the goal of becoming an owner within 4 to 6 years. We are looking for someone who works well with others and is interested in career advancement.

The position is a full time salaried position including a competitive benefits package which includes a retirement plan, health insurance, vacation and sick time PTO, paid holidays and training and education programs.

Our firm began in 1956 and our client base encompasses Northern Indiana and Southwest Lower Michigan. Therefore, it allows for frequent client contact without the need for overnight travel. Industries that we serve include manufacturing, healthcare, construction, engineering, retail and professional services providers.

The candidate should possess strong interpersonal communication skills and an extensive knowledge of federal and state tax laws. In addition, the candidate should be familiar with Microsoft Office. A background knowledge of QuickBooks, Ultra Tax and the suite of Creative Solutions products is a plus.
