How is it that the man capable of that gameplan has Doug Flutie accusing him of blowing the Northwestern game because he cannot help his pass-happy self? I think it goes a bit beyond arrogance, though I agree he is arrogant. After the first 7 games this year I believed that Kelly was a good, but flawed coach who had learned from past mistakes. Now I just see him as deeply flawed coach whose inability to learn from mistakes saddles him (and ND) with mediocrity.
