for having won championships without NFL quarterbacks? And if so, what does it have to do with Charlie Strong? It makes no sense.

And there is little correlation between being a top head coach and putting a successful QB in the pros. The only active head coaches that can claim being the head coach of a successful NFL QB are Harbaugh (Luck), Meyer (Smith), Patterson (Dalton), and Richt (Stafford).

You accuse people of discounting him because he is black, but take a closer look at his head coaching record and tell me why he should be a Plan A coaching candidate. He seems more on the level of Dave Doeren, Gary Pinkel, and Dan Mullen - and significantly behind guys like Todd Graham, Dabo Swinney, or Mark Dantonio.

As for paying his dues, good for him. But this isn't the UAW.
