that if accepted would shut him out (not sure how that all works). It was indicated he likes Aerospace Engineering, and Georgia Tech has that. UNC has no engineering at all, Michigan has very good engineering, including Aerospace. ND has it also, and the facilities are state of the art.
Engineering is very demanding, as the schedule is very rigid, beginning Freshman year. There is hardly any room for electives, and there is tons of physics, chem and math. He would probably need to EE to graduate in 4 years with an engineering degree from any of these schools.
