We interrupt this count down to discuss concussion protocol

But before doing so, might I suggest a virtual countdown/celebration on Romper Room when the much anticipated departure of Daddy Swarbucks occurs? While I don't like Mondays for partying, I like this one and drinks are on me.

As to concussion protocol, I found this lengthy article interesting and wonder if anyone is aware of what "concussion protocol" actually means at ND. I'm personally aware of high school and college students, both athletes and non athletes, who recently suffered concussions and were prescribed protocols of sensory deprivation.

Interested in what ND's protocols are as well as posters with kids in contact sports.

concussion that he got from getting his head smashed between a player and a goalpost (he's a goalie) when the guy didn't get out of the crease.

When he got home from the game between midnight and 1am we woke up to check on him throughout the night and then his recovery was just laying in his room doing nothing. The weather was halfway decent and we encouraged him to go for a walk around the block to "start doing something" and then he went to the game to watch with the other scratched players and that's what seemed to get him on the road to recovery. I think if he had continued to just lay in bed all day, I think he would have had 1-3 more weeks of recovery just because he wasn't doing anything.

His first game back was a little rough but after that he rattled off seven straight wins and had a 2.00 GAA during that stretch which is really good in the OHL.

Glad he came out of it ok. My friend's kid missed a lot of
