concussion that he got from getting his head smashed between a player and a goalpost (he's a goalie) when the guy didn't get out of the crease.

When he got home from the game between midnight and 1am we woke up to check on him throughout the night and then his recovery was just laying in his room doing nothing. The weather was halfway decent and we encouraged him to go for a walk around the block to "start doing something" and then he went to the game to watch with the other scratched players and that's what seemed to get him on the road to recovery. I think if he had continued to just lay in bed all day, I think he would have had 1-3 more weeks of recovery just because he wasn't doing anything.

His first game back was a little rough but after that he rattled off seven straight wins and had a 2.00 GAA during that stretch which is really good in the OHL.
