Just read an article in The Times (linked). It is really hard to comprehend that there are a large number of people who believe this nonsense.

A couple of examples from the article follow:

In the frenzied minds of some right-wing conspiracy theorists the whole Swift-Kelce romance, which has gripped US media for weeks, is a sham and part of a “deep state” plot to undermine Trump.

Jesse Watters, a Fox News host, told viewers: “Have you ever wondered why or how she [Swift] blew up like this? Well, around four years ago, the Pentagon psychological operations unit floated turning Taylor Swift into an asset during a Nato meeting.”

“I know we’ve all been roasting your city for years,” posted Rogan O’Handley, a conservative commentator with 1.3 million followers on Twitter/X. “For 2 weeks, 99% of America will be 49ers fans but in return you MUST defeat the Chiefs,” he wrote. If not Biden will get re-elected meaning “WW3 will likely follow”.

(As if Brock Purdy and his teammates don’t already have enough pressure on them, stopping WWIII is on their shoulders as well.)
