Will there be any smart or responsible Republicans left? Ditto if the dems win in 2024. Will there be any Republicans capable of figuring out how to compromise on things like CHIPS, infrastructure, etc.

We need two competent parties, but even if Trump loses in 2024 it's hard to see where the nucleus for a sane GOP comes from.
