Of all the elections prior to Trump/Clinton

Biden is probably the least impressive candidate going back to Dukakis or McGovern (not factoring in failures after election like Nixon, GWB, Carter, etc.)

Biden surprised me to the upside, but I thought he'd be a C president. So the surprise was more due to low expectations. Below average but not catastrophic.

Trump is catastrophically bad. Not the marginal F you can make up with a good grade on your next test, but an abject failure requiring you to drop a class because an A on the final won't save you.

A wart is infinitely better than a gaping chest wound. And it's sometimes hard to notice the wart when you're staring down a tension pneumothorax and imminent cardiac arrest.

That's my take at least. It's why the but x y z ticks me off. X y and z aren't in the same league as this Strong Man wanabe traitor to the republic.

74 million votes. They weren't all MAGA, not by a long shot.

I guess we can hope that the stay-at-homes-rather-than-vote-for-a-Dummycrat don't live in Wisconsin or Michigan or PA and it won't matter.

My own jaundiced view is that we need to drink the cup to the lees, and if an EC majority want Four More Years of corrupt chaos because they think it will help their 401(k)s, so be it, we'll find out what kind of country we really want.

is made up of mostly conservative women. They rarely discuss politics (which we've all learned to avoid since Trump), but for some reason the election came up. Almost all of the women were planning to vote for Trump, because these women were lifelong Republicans. "What else can we do?"

My wife came home fairly depressed.
