However there is a significant difference between fnding ways to get your supporters to the polls and stealing an election with fraudulent ballots. Fact is the Higher income neighborhoods that have spent 4 years bitching about crime could not find time to go vote despite the fact there were 50 early voting sites in the City open several weeks before the election, mail in voting and of course election day voting.

I have spent most of my life working election day vote operations. It is not glamorous but really important and quite honeslty too many of the "new" folks domt understand it or care enough about it.

Me too. Every Democratic primary for 20 years.

But I get worried when David Orr’s son Jeff starts to ask questions. And he’s asking questions.

Maybe you should be more concerned too.

undermining the trust. Is it possible yes but the same question would apply to Orr as Iasked below. Having raised the idea there was fraud what happens when Burke ONeill is declared the winner? Does he then say all is good?

From what I am hearing both sides expect her to win by about 1,000 votes so there will obviously be a recount but I give credit to both campaigns for the profesional manner in which they have handled it.

And yes some of the issue is the retirement of David Orr who was the consumate professional with years of experience and presumably many of his top people.

I appreciate you working the vote operations.

There is also a difference between GOTV operations

And the peaoole in charge of grading and disciplining a group of highly malleable voters marching them to the polls while actively and openly supporting certain candidates/initiatives. It’s not fraud, but I think it’s actually closer to fraud than it is to proper GOTV operations.

But also agree with your other point regarding turnout

I dont disagree with the way it was handled. Optics matter

it should not have been done during school. Had they done it after school then it is more like a typical GOTV activity like souls to the polls for Sunday voting. Of course had they waited until after school they likely would not have had as many students interested in doing it.

What is intersting is that effort was focused on the Bring Chicago home initative. That initiative was defeated and the last numbers I could see were 173,217 to 152,248. Comparing Burke Oneill's numbers it looks like a substnatial number of people voted against the initiative but for Clayton Harris. Obviously will need to see final resuls but would not have expected to see that correlation.

One is on all ballots the other only on dem ballot *

ballot initiative would have tied in the Republican primary which seems unlikely. As I said will need to see final numbers to be able to make any accurate assessments.

Actually they didn’t vote in the S.A. race

They just voted against BCH. Which is pretty wild.
