On the issue of abortion, both political parties are wildly out of touch with the American electorate. Even in a red state like Florida, there's relatively little support for making all abortions illegal under all circumstances. There's more support, but far from majority support, for making abortion legal under all circumstances. Most Americans fall into the safe, legal, and rare with restrictions camp.
