John Roberts would be an interesting pull for Harvard

He'd probably be good for 5-6 years as he is 68.

His credentials are beyond reproach. He has navigated dicey politics for the last 15 years on the bench.

Cash out and tripple his salary going into retirment?

He would, but it would be bizarre in some ways.

But I would think he has a more interesting life, and a greater impact on more lives, as a Justice.

Maybe they bring back Summers (no, I'm not really being serious, but he has a better personality for it -- in some ways).

His wife makes plenty of money.

I know he’s not a Thomas or Alito right winger, but he’s still conservative and an institutionalist. I’m sure he’d prefer not to be replaced by a strongly left-wing justice Biden would appoint.

And come on, he wrote the dissent in Obergefell. Harvard would go apeshit if he was named president. All you’d hear about is how is appointment is violence to the LGBTQ community.
