My future FIL is getting remarried. He and his fiance are 70ish. As they are Catholic they did pre Cana.

During this they had to listen to lectures in abstinence and producing children for God. As one of them is a retired gynecologist, it felt a little rich being told about reproductive health.

There is a lot to like about Catholic culture but sometimes it comes across incredibly tone deaf.
