… at the Great Lakes Regional. That probably won't get the team an at large bid to the National race, although ND's top finisher, Michael Clevenger, finished sixth and should get an individual bid.

The future is decent for the squad, as Clevenger is a junior and five of our following six runners are underclassmen. Not that we won't remain underdogs. Wisconsin won (earning its 43rd straight NCAA nationals appearance) and its seven finishers were bunched #2 through #22, with five in the top 17. Its fastest and "slowest" are sophomores, its second was the only senior, and the other four are freshmen.

ND's women finished sixth, with two junior and three senior scorers, but Letsrun.com thinks they will get a team at large bid.
