Winning both the ACC and NCAA title in the steeplechase -- and lowering her PR by 10 seconds in the process -- were certainly serious accomplishments!
Congrats.

BTW, the article notes that not only is Olivia coming back to take advantage of her Covid year, but so is her twin sister, Andrea, who recently graduated from U of Washington.

Thanks for the update. I saw Andrea run in the Pac12

championships in 2022 when she was a junior at Hayward field in Eugene. She got 7th in that 10K race. This year as a senior she did very well in the 10k Pac12 championships getting 2nd with a good time of 33:14 behind Utah's Emily Venters who ended 2nd in the NCAA championships. Andrea missed qualifying for Austin as she didn't do that well in the NCAA prelims.

UW is a rising team in PAC12 T&F as they won their 1st men's championship ever this season and the women were 3rd. They won that championships with lots of men's distance points so I am sure she had good coaching. She also was a mainstay scoring on their cross country team which was very competitive (2nd & 3rds) all her 4 years in an ultra competitive PAC12 conference that includes Colorado, Oregon, Stanford, and Utah. It's great to get her for that 5th Covid season to run with her Olivia. Perfect addition and sure glad we got her away from those Huskies.
