He broke his personal best and went under 48 seconds for the first time -- before this meet he hadn't broken 49, so this is a huge jump. This qualifies him for the World Championships in Fukuoka, Japan next month.

make the World Championships. I know we've had some international swimmers from Singapore and a few other countries but the US nationals is proabably more competitive then the Worlds, especially to qualify. Congrats to Chris and his family. Hope they enjoy Japan.
