I have had multiple conversations this week with people by jt

supposedly "in the know." This relates to both high school and college football.

What I can say is that everything is changing pretty much daily, and the pendulum swings are wild, from one side to the other. The latest update yesterday was basically that the SEC and ACC are good to go, but might start late. The Pac 12 can't agree on anything, and a whole bunch of smaller schools are up in the air.

As to high school, it's much of the same. Some places are business as usual for the most part, but with fewer games and contingencies if there is a break out and some places are just shut down until spring. From what I understand, in smaller/more rural states it is basically business as usual.

Now, please don't shoot the messenger and please also keep in mind that I said that this changes frequently.
