• Please do not copy entire articles into your post; rather, provide links to them.. We are now links-only for ALL Internet publications. If only a small portion of the article pertains to your post, Fair Use allows you to copy those one or two paragraphs, provided you cite the author's name and the publication for which he writes. Otherwise, put a link in the HTTP Link box.
• Even if you're copying a reference to an article, provide a link to the page from which the article came. We're trying to cut down on duplicate topics, and the posting process will check the link to your article to see if it's already being discussed on this board. At the very least, you'll save yourself some grief on the boards.
• If your first reaction after reading the article you're going to share is the author is uninformed / stupid / a jerk / all of the above, it's not worth sharing with anyone. expose them to Covid while you bench the band, women's soccer and make on-line classes available. Colleges and the NCAA have bullshit their way through a narrative that all CFB players are regular students. The degree is the benefit of the bargain. They're getting a degree worth $320,000.
There is some truth to that fact. But we don't pay college football players even though they make millions of dollars for schools.

But now that college athletic department finances are in the tank, you can't turn around and say, actually, CFB is different. Sorry, there is a ton of money on the line and even though you're risking life and limb, take one for the team and make us some money.

There is no way the season is going to happen because the narrative that the NCAA has spewed for years is finally being called out for the BS that it is.

They need to blow up the NCAA. Swarbrick and Co. should be leading the charge. Instead, we're trying to find a buy-in game to replace Western Michigan.
