| Political Philosophy: | Starting to examine my lifelong conservatism. Adding more of a social justice pov. Dislike policies that promote gov't dependence, but also dislike policies that promote greed in the name of freedom. | |||||||
| Religious Philosophy: | Mix of Vatican II catholicism and voluntary retention of the "old ways". Dislike self-important churchmen; think the Curia and American bishops are out-of-touch. WWJD is a good perspective. | |||||||
| Musical Favorites: | ND Fight Song; Alma Mater. All things XM. |
|||||||
| Favorite Quote from an ND Coach: | Frank Leahy: "We won't make a first down." | |||||||
| Miscellaneous Data: | ND should refocus on immigrant and underdog roots. Re-examine anything that looks smug and elite. It's a tough assignment to become a world class Catholic University....but ND can do. Also, it is not inconsistent to strive for catholic/ academic excellence and athletic excellence, especially football; "what though the odds be great or small". Absolute disavowal of aspirational peerage concept. | |||||||
