It did give me a chance to watch the 1st Quarter of the Maryland game.
I know it was mentioned below, but holy shit how was Schaller not flagged on the Maheras hit?
Hey, I'm wondering if any of you Lacrosse fans in the know expect a potential wet rainy game to help or hurt us. My uneducated feeling is that we likely are the better team and it will even things out more. Might slow us down. I'm not sure though. I've been most worried about Ricciardelli not having the greatest save % thus far this season. We got so spoiled with Liam E. Fortunately the defense has played well and we seem to have an offense that is really coming together with scoring from so many different players at times. It's such a blessing to have such talent and also depth. I'm interested to see if we can solve The Big Tasty (Caleb Fyock, OSU goalie from Bowie, MD). OSU has played one tough game (barely beat GT last week) and 5 cream puffs so we'll see how good he is. They only beat Bellarmine 11-6 while a week later we beat Bellarmine 29-10. However we played inside Loftus vs OSU playing outdoors. I'm hoping for a big win. Go Irish! Beat the Bucknuts (please). Hope to see other Domers there. I'll be in Section 103 Row G.
find his rhythm yet. Indoor games are extremely difficult and we've dominated time of possession this season.
He is one of the most talented goalies in the country. Save percentage is lower than he wants but the team is behind him. The mental game is a huge part of goaltending. Over 50%. He's a typical ND Type-A kid. If he overthinks it and becomes his own worst enemy than it could be a concern. Watch his body language and the D if he gives up a soft goal. Don't look at save percentage. Look at body language. Is he still pumping up the team? Does he drop his dead? Is he tracking the ball? Hustling to the end line? Are his outlet passes crisp?
And please don't use his nickname here. Not only is it moronic but I saw in an interview that he gave himself the nickname before he went to college. That goes against all kinds of code.
Fyock is solid but nothing we can't handle. ND dusted him in the playoffs last year scoring 15 goals. Fyock melted down and started yelling at teamates in the fourth quarter, eventually being pulled. He's a talented fat headcase.
Ricciardelli gets no benefit of the doubt on this board. He led the ACC in save percentage last year. He will be more than adequate for a deep tourney run.
conference games B1G conf sports as well as other sports with away B1G games like lacrosse, soccer, vball, baseball, softball etc. I try to get deals and have paid as little as $39 a year (when the Ducks joined the B1G), but usually the price is just $89.99 a year ($7.50/mo) like I paid this year. They do highlights, condensed games as well as full replays so you can follow lots of your schools sports very easily.
Part of my hope ND switches its non-football sports from the ACC is they are much better than ACCN+. In fact I have been able to watch more the non-ranked Oregon women's lacrosse than either ND men's olr women's ranked lacrosse teams. My dream is the 4 B!G old PAC12 schools go back to the PAC12 in all sports but football and it gives room for ND to switch their Olympic sports to B1G while setting up a similar ACC type football deal to preserve ND's independence. If Stanford & Cal leave the stupid ACC to go pack to the new PAC12 for all sports the change es would leave the new PC12 with 10 football schools & 15 Olympic sports schools including Gonzaga while the B1G would have 18 football schools (as they do now) but only 15 Olympic schools including ND. ND would keep its football independence while improving both ND's schedule and B!G's TV offerings.
The added benefit is B!G+ is great for Olympic sports and lacrosse.
...then you're only averaging $6.50 p/game.
Without paying extra? That has been very disappointing so far.
Glad I didn't cancel my B1G+ subscription after last weekend's game.
Looks like vs Michigan will be on the ACCN, and our ACC schedule will all be available either on ACCN or ESPN/ESPN+
Not clear where/how the Richmond game will be broadcast. (It HAS to be available somewhere...right?)
If so, game should be on ACCN or ESPNU/ESPN+. Even if it's a Richmond home game, I think there's a decent chance the game is on ESPN+ (daughter used to be a St. Bonaventure cheerleader and most A10 games were on ESPN+).
I am giving way more money to B10 schools than I wanted to just to watch this team. Its at Northwestern so hopefully the weather is at least nice.
Fuck Ohio State!
