....you've also got Joe Ligas, the #6 overall recruit being added to the mix.

On Attack, we may be getting Timothy Shannehan from BU.

That's the hope. Team USA kid. I played with his dad growing up. Great family and he's from the best high school in America.

If He -- Knock on Wood -- Comes, Could an Attacker Shift ?

Shannehan is most certainly at attacker and looks to be a very gifted distributor, which ND could use.. As noted, ND has four attackers returning who see the field in one way or another.

The Irish don't appear to be quite as deep at Middie. Could one of the attackers switch to midfield and, if so, who? Behrman? Lally,,Pokorny (I can't see Miller doing this...he strikes me as being a great finisher in close.)

Miller saw some time at midfield as a freshman

He would mainly invert and dodge from X. I agree he is unlikely to move from attack at this point. I was thinking maybe someone not listed who might not see time at attack next year but could contribute at the midfield.

Whoa. I saw his name in the portal

I was surprised to see him there. That would be massive. 76 points in 14 games. That's more PPG than Yago had at AFA.

I was going to make a crack about how he didn't attend Westhill, but I couldn't get through it with a straight face.

I just checked Westhill's schedule and results. Not pretty.

They were shutout 2 games in a row and just lost to Joel Barlow 19-3.

Better than when I was there.

Of course there was no team when I was there. I'm just happy that the Stamford Board of Ed finally came around to what the rest of Fairfield County already knew. Several of us stood up at BoE meetings in the late 80s and early 90s trying to get those folks on board.

It looked for a while like the program was on the upswing, but obviously things haven't been great the last few years.

Wow -- interesting.
