We did play Bellarmine & Air Force as scrimmages

Not sure why they didn't count as official games.
They were played indoors at Loftus, but I believe Detroit Mercy and Richmond were as well so that can't be the reason.
All teams play pre-season scrimmages that don't count

ND historically plays fewer games than other top D1 teams, but the schedule is usually one of the hardest in the country. Most schools play more mid-week games, but ND rarely does that
