Baptiste dominated the 4th Quarter.
Tierney owns Corrigan.
Poor goaltending.
Great game by Garnsey & Sexton.
Denver has now beaten us 7 out of the last 8 games.

This must be what USC felt like during Holtz *

They weren't as consistently good in that era

as ND has been in lacrosse. This year's seeding (7) was ND's lowest since 2010, when ND was unseeded but made the championship game. Southern Cal never was ranked higher than 7th in a final poll when Lou Holtz was ND's coach, and the year they finished with that ranking (1988) was the only one in which they made a serious national championship run or were even in the top 10 at the end of the regular season.

Tierney doesn't own Corrigan.

3-1 vs DU from 2010-14 (Tierney, no Baptiste). Went 54-97 (56%) on FOs in those games.
1-6 vs DU from 2014-18 (Tierney + Baptiste). Went 47-159 (29%) on FOs in those games.

I don't love Corrigan, but that isn't a coincidence. The goaltending today was bad, but even when we had better goaltending (Doss) from 2014-16, we couldn't beat them.

(Now, if we keep getting dominated vs. DU at the X next year when he is gone, it's a different story.)

The best FO Specialist of all time. However, he fared much better against ND than some other teams. We had little to no chance to come back in the 4th period with Baptiste dominating one FO after another. Sad way to end a season.
