Couple of observations

Good:
1. Leonard was phenomenal on face offs.
2. Our ride was a thing of beauty forcing an enormous amount of turnovers and failed clears.
3. Offensive scheme was a bit different compared to the Duke game. A lot more high screens to try and force a switch and get a short stick on Costabile, and it worked numerous times. Really liked what I saw.
4. Jackoboice is crucial to the teams success and played a great game without stuffing the stat sheet. His play helped free up Gleason for his huge game.
5. Willets played very well, still not a dangerous dodger, but he was able to get enough separation against a short stick to have easier passing lanes and create his 4 assists.
6. If the opponent puts a long pole on Costabile and Gleason, some combination of Willets and Jackoboice must create offense. Today they did.

Bad:
1. Goalie play was poor. 3 very soft goals between Zullio and Schmidt. The only reason this game was close was goalie play.
2. Sloppiest game ND played in a while. Numerous turnovers immediately following our D forcing a turnover.
3. Yes Leonard has 5 goals (2 against Detroit Mercy), but he continues to force the issue too much in my opinion. He goes solo and seems to never try and set up the fast break after clean face off wins. We cannot afford to give away possessions against Duke.
