So that game winner was a soft goal right?

Such a shame
Edit. It felt like our goalie was a batter looking for a fast ball and he got a change up.

Evaluating goalie play is really hard, but yes that was.

And Schmidt knew it. It happens. He would absolutely stop that shot 9/10 times. I watched my son this week in the MD lacrosse playoffs have a shot blocked in a tie game with a minute to go. I swear he has scored 20 goals in the last 2 years on that exact same play. But right then, in crunch time, he failed to convert and he feels like he failed his team. They lost by giving up a goal with 27 secs to go. It’s horrible to feel one play you know you SHOULD make, that you make over and over again, has such an overweighted influence on a game’s outcome. There are so few champions, and 95% of all participants end their season losing, but the lessons learned as players and as fans hopefully make us all find some room for positive growth.
