This is an excellent post providing a high level look at the sport. As someone who has never played lacrosse, I've come to love it through my son playing club lacrosse (in spite of the stupidity of many, many parents involved in the sport - thankfully, my wife and I steer clear of all of the drama). I read this board regularly but this is my first post here since I rarely have anything to add. Given that the board traffic is likely very light this time of year, I mostly wanted to acknowledge your post for the high quality contribution that it is.
