The Russians are digging pretty deep into their tank

Inventory. Photographs show T-54 and T-55's on trains heading west.

The T 54's started production during WW2 and T 55's in 1958.

It'll be interesting to see how the Ukranians fare in their spring/summer offensive. It certainly seems like Russian industrial production is struggling to keep up with the Special Operation.

T-62s are also being rebuilt and resurrected in Siberia.

the faithful, the war in Ukraine is mentioned.

"We pray that world leaders will refrain from action or inaction in Ukraine that could potentially disrupt world peace. We pray to the Lord."

Uh...Lord hear our prayer?

We all look at each other with expressions of "WTF are we praying for?"

He's a former anti armor specialist in the army. His opinion on this particular topic is the Russians will use these older tanks as mobile artillery while their regular artillery pieces are repaired.

Their ability to aim/target is less than optimal. Quantity has a quality all it's own I suppose.

But they don't have quantity, either.

They're doing this because they've been using even their modern tanks as artillery for some time -- which has disabled a lot of their tanks when the barrels shattered from overuse. And with the Ukrainian counter-offensive coming, with their new Western tanks, the Russians are going to need every modern tank they can get.
