With a number of people out and no distractions from playoff games, for the first time in a long while I truly walked away from the paying job for the two-week holiday and started hacking at a number of NDN things that had been on my list. In addition to the confirmation pages already mentioned and some background tech stuff with which I won't bore you, you'll notice things like some more pages are becoming mobile-friendly.
The big change, though, will be how we're handling user requests, and I'm working on that right now. Much more will happen behind the scenes -- confirming what your handle is, requesting email and password updates, ad-free stuff, etc. -- rather than through emails, so we won't be passing things around in whitespace.
For that to work, though, your communication email has to be up to date. If you don't know it or it's not in use anymore, you'll have a harder time changing things. As was said previously, gone will be the days of giving people a break if their email isn't right on a password reset, for example -- if your email isn't correct, it ain't gonna happen.
While we will have methods to verify handles and email values, along with ways to reset your access if you've truly forgotten or lost access to your data, it would behoove you all to verify your current email addresses. Don't worry about the registered address for now.
If you're logged in to NDN via the fields/button at the top right, you can....
1) Click on the "Manage Your Account" link at the upper right.
2) On the resulting page, check the value for the Contact Email.
3) If it needs to be changed, the link to update it is immediately to its right
Do it while you're thinking about it, because once we cut over the new account management features (which, unlike before, truly are imminent now)....
