Wife Telling me not to eat lettuce

Apparently, there is a "Cyclospora Outbreak" -some sort of parasite which causes among other sypmptoms explosive diarrhea.
Cases concentrated in midwest, primarily Michigan, arising from eating contaminated produce. Anyone had the misfortune of contracting this?

I'm glad I skipped the leafy greens at the farmers market. Peaches and watermelon seem safe.

My wife also has us off lettuce for a few weeks

Or until a state health department identifies the source.

The symptom ‘explosive diarrhea’ and the treatment a specific antibiotic (she has had reactions to sulfa antibiotics years ago) were enough for her regardless of the low probability.

We’ll get our leafy greens in cooked foods.

Ordered 100 pills of Double Strength Bactrim

Arrived at my office today. I'm going to make a killing selling it on Ebay, Kind of like hand sanitizer and masks at the beginning of Covid. Explosive watery diarrhea (is there any other type?) makes people pay any amount of money for relief.

Actually, I'm headed to Mexico with family for a wedding and apparently they are having trouble down there too. I also always carry Zithromax with me when I travel. Thought it might be a good idea to have some Bactrim available if anyone begins showing signs.

A few things....

First, not sure if you're serious, but what does an antibiotic have to do with fighting a parasitic infection? Two, I don't know about you, but sometimes antibiotics will cause digestive issues/diarrhea. And, in case anyone is thinking of doing so, I'm sure you know you can't legally sell your antibiotics on line.

1. Bactrim DS is the first line of treatment for Cyclospora.

2. I prescribe multiple antibiotic prescriptions in a day.
3. Selling was a joke
4. I am serious about purchasing and bringing it with me to Mexico.
