Definitely not for 26-27 school year. Maybe in a year or two some districts would adjust. In the meantime, if this goes through, a whole lot more kids will be walking or biking or scootering or whatevering to school in the dark from Nov-Feb.

Logistics are a big part

My local school system runs buses at an interval that allows them to use the big buses for 4 different schools.

My neighbor's 3rd grader is out there at 7:00, while my kids are out at 8:30.

Limitations on transportation capacity are big drivers here.

I'm also fine with elimination of DST, just suck it up and set an alarm clock.

I've been to Svalbard and Tierra del Fuego, they seemed to be fine.
