High School GPA inflation.

Our flagship state university (UGA) recently released the stats for the incoming class of 2022. I was particularly struck by the average GPA for the incoming class: 4.04. I undestand that many of this students took AP course which helped boost their GPA, but on its face, I still find that average ridiculous. Is this the norm in other states as well?

I’m reminded of the line from Incredibles 2 - “When everybody’s special, nobody is special.”
