I'd rather have 80% of the cars on the road being driven by a computer than most of the texting idiots out there. Self driving would free so many up to update Facebook/Instagram/Twitter/Snapchat to their hearts content and keep them from killing so many people.

The worry about technology and driving killing people in automated cars is extremely overblown considering the harm caused by cell phones and driving.
