Long shot -- IRS help?

We are in the process of purchasing a new home -- closing is scheduled for tomorrow.

Suddenly, the underwriter wants proof that my IRS tax bill from last year (a sum of about $3K) has been paid. Do to a variety of reasons that aren't totally relevant, I did not make the actual payment until about 4 weeks ago, but it has been fully paid.

However, when I log into my online IRS account it shows my 2015 balance as $0, my 2016 balance as $0, and my 2017 balance as "INFO." When I click on info, it says my information is unavailable at this time. A transcript of my tax account does not show the payment.

Of course, the IRS is shut down. Getting someone on the phone is impossible. I don't know what to do. Any one have any ideas?
