I think I understand the general concept, but:
- There is no app correct? Only through the site?
- Does spelling count?
- Does a human review answers? For this example question:
SCIENCE - What is the common current name of the disease which has been identified for centuries, having been called "too great emptying of the urine" during the early days of the pharoahs, "honey urine" during the equivalent era in India, and diarrhea urinosa in ancient Rome? The English translation of the disease's name in Japanese, Korean, and Chinese is "sugar urine disease".
The printed answer says "DIABETES MELLITUS" would 'DIABETES' count as correct?
Thanks
No app, just website. Their mobile version is fine, if a little bit annoying on the "defense" side.
Spelling isn't super strict, but it can matter.
I can't say that all answers are human-reviewed, but there is at least some human oversight. I've had answers judged correct previously that I don't think a machine or automated process would be able to do.
Or can I read the questions in the morning and think about them all day provided that I don't cheat in any way (i.e. use reference sources)?
I don't see any mention on the site of a time limit - just a deadline when answers have to be submitted.
Having done a bunch of the practice questions, I often narrow it down to a couple of possibilities...or I know I know the answer and can't bring it to mind right then...and thinking on it will improve my performance.
Thanks.
Learning how they write the questions is half the battle. They usually have a clue or two in the question alone if you learn what to look for. This is by far the steepest part of the learning curve.
