Dragged Across Concrete is one hell of a movie.

Not for everyone obviously and a slow burn to be sure. But if Bone Tomahawk and Brawl in Cell Block 99 were in your wheelhouse (you know who you are--and I am one of you), you're likely gonna love this. You just got to be ready for the violence and deliberate pace. I actually could have watched another hour of it. There's a near unspoken, two-minute scene of Vaughn eating an egg salad sandwich during a stakeout that's more compelling than most filmmaking I've seen this decade.

And Zahler's craftsmanship is pretty amazing. His shot composition and lighting (and use of widescreen) is straight out of the 70s auteur era, like early Coppola or Spielberg.

I think it’s in a limited theater release in some cities as well.
