Tailgating flagpole (height) recommendations?
by DavidAddison (2019-04-22 10:03:02)

Received a custom 3' x 5' flag for ND Joyce lot tailgating for Christmas. Time to start thinking about the portable flagpole to get for it (good time to request as a Fathers Day gift).

I've looked online and main issue seems to be what would be the best height to get.

If you have specific brand recommendations, those would be appreciated too.

Obviously I'm talking about the portable flagpoles that anchor under a car tire.

Thank you!

If the FAA don’t make you put a light on it, it’s too short *

I bought two of the 51600 models off of Amazon and have so far been pleased. They each hold two flags and are pretty darn sturdy and have held up over 4 years of tailgating. One of them bends a bit more than the other now (thanks to extreme weather during the 2016 Virginia Tech game), but overall I'm pleased with them. I agree w/ the other poster who said you'll want 20' or more.

where do you tailgate on christmas? *
