Best rental car companies for quick pick up

If you book directly through Hertz and are a Gold Plus member (but not a frequent user), do you get any sort of expedited pick up? Basically, what I'm asking is can you jump in line in front of the people who booked through Expedia, Costco, etc.? Are there any other companies that are better?

Picking up our rental car in Maui (booked through Costco), we had to wait in line forever. My struggle was real, and I vowed to never let it happen again.
