But the bourbon county beers are damn fine. It's my birthday week so I'm indulging a bit and had the wheatwine, a new one for this year. I'm a sucker for barleywines and this wheatwine veers close, but a touch sweeter and grassier, I'd say.

It's a damn good beer though. Thick, flavorful, the bourbon complementing the beer. Doesn't hurt that it's 15.4% abv either. I still have last year's regular Bourbon county Stout and this year's Stout and barleywine and boy do I look forward to them.
