perspective for those of us with children who will be making those choices soon.

ND was the shining University on a hill (OK maybe it's on flat land, but it sounds good for my Reagan analogy) to me as a child. Something that I was never going to achieve but by god I was going to give my children that possibility, and I feel maybe we have.

But the more I read from people like you two, the more I realize that that shine is no longer quite what it was. Perhaps it would be wise to avoid the stress of attaining that ideal, when those who would know best tell the gatekeepers to fuck right off.

Enlightening. I appreciate your perspectives more than you know.
