Inside, I'm using Zwift or Sufferfest for rides. Both of those applications automatically send the rides to Strava when complete.

Outdoors, I have an Elemnt Bolt that's also setup to send the rides to Strava.

For me, the biggest advantage to putting the data into Strava is to see the results (ie, segment performance) over time. Unfortunately, Strava has just made the personal leaderboard part of the paid subscription. Even at $5/month, I'm not really sure yet I want to pay for yet another monthly subscription fee. I also use a Chrome Extension - Elevate to add some additional metrics.
