It's imperfect (there's a whiff of lost causism) and some of it doesn't hold up great (fat 50 year old re-enactors tend to break suspension of disbelief), but the main cast is great, especially Jeff Daniel's Chamberlain.

That's assuming the movie portrays things accurately. If I remember correctly, after a poor showing he ran his practice following a game until his players could barely stand and were throwing up. If I am recalling this incorrectly I apologize.
