Tournaments are booked too far out

Courses that would like them (not Pine Valley, they don't want the attention) could take advantage of this situation, but the problem is these events are booked out very far in advance. For example a member of Chicago Golf Club has told me they've tried to get a US Open but haven't been able to because of 1) no room on the course for spectators; and 2) no parking for everyone. So yes, in a no spectator world Chicago Golf Club would work, but the US Open is booked through 2027. I would hope (as a parent to two kids under 4) that Covid won't be an issue by 2028.
