Hal Ketchum died today at 67. Dementia, apparently, not covid.

For some reason that lyric has resonated with me all my life and I occasionally find myself reflecting on relationships with my loved ones and considering whether I'm an eagle or a sparrow.

And coincidentally, I found my Hal Ketchum CD while cleaning up the garage today. I've got some listening to do.

Sad. One of the soundtracks to my childhood. *

"Lucy you know the world must be flat, 'cause when people leave town, they never come back

They go ninety miles an hour to the city limits sign

Put the pedal to the metal 'fore they change their mind"

One of the best country music videos of all time too. *
