For most of the movie it's an ambling little period piece, and for that purpose it works. Then he tacks on a classic Tarantino-style ending, out of nowhere, which also works. I found myself liking it much better after watching it than I did while watching it.
And then again, flame throwers are always kind of a statement.
shut down one of my favorite running trails in Simi Valley for almost a year. So rude.
I thought you stayed on your side of the Valley for trail running.
I can see why some wouldn't like it, but I enjoyed every second. The ending was just the hilarious icing on top.
...I loved the period cars.
DiCaprio was a bit of a scenery muncher, but Pitt was really good, and I could watch Margot Robbie forever.
But I’m a sucker for a good flame thrower scene. Very underrated weapon. Short range, large risk but the potential carnage and agony are well worth it!
Scenes of all time
and counting.
..."Kiss Me Deadly" of 1955 (though most relate that movie to "Pulp Fiction").
Hated the movie, but loved the ending.
My least favorite Tarintino film, did not enjoy it at all, very disappointing.
Just curious, but there’s certain Tarantino films that appeal to some people more than others. I’m not a huge film and 60s buff, but enough of one to really appreciate a lot of what this film was doing. My wife isn’t and it wasn’t her favorite (although she loved DiCaprio’s acting).
1. Kill Bill
2. Pulp Fiction
3. Django Unchained
4. Reservoir Dogs
5. Jackie Brown
1) Pulp Fiction
2) Jackie Brown
3) Once Upon a Time...
4) Django Unchained
5) Kill Bill
I also could easily switch the first two and replace Kill Bill with Reservoir Dogs. I also like historical pieces, so that explains a lot of that.
Different strokes.
Especially with Tarintino films.
