The best turkey I’ve ever had never beat the most basic honey-baked ham done in the oven.

We speak of the next-day sandwich. Ham beats turkey all the time.

My mom calls it the everything sandwich. Open face dark meat turkey slices, her special stuffing, cranberry sauce and gravy.

I actually think I am going to miss that leftover sandwich more than the actual meal this year.
Next-day sandwich.
